A year or so after I obtained the doiley pictured above, this one turned up on eBay, complete with matching doilies. One of the small doilies had been completed, but not the other, nor had this large one been started. There was no instructions provided, so I decided to do my own thing and use colours which matched a real peacock as closely as I could. Ken said tonight "why didn't you use some of your sparkly threads for the eyes?" If I'd had Pam's metallic threads when I started working on this, I would certainly had used them! But I ain't gonna pull all that stitching out now!

Gina, these are all so beautiful!

You can go back over your stitches with a little bit of the metallic thread that I sent to you. Just a few stitches with the metallic would add the sparkle you want without having to rip out the stitching you've already done.

Oh I never thought of that! Thanks Pam - when I have finished stitching the whole doiley, I will play with some sparkly stuff and see how it looks!
